Dance for PD® Certified Teaching Artist
Since 2010, Pamela has been teaching dance to the Parkinson's community. Her work has received recognition from the Parkinson's Foundation, the Nevada Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts and Dance for PD.
Along with dancing professionally, Pamela has taught dance at universities, colleges, high schools and professional dance schools.
Today Pamela's primary focus is to enrich the quality of life for those with PD through the art of dance.

Participants experience an improvement in their thinking as they build stamina, flexibility, postural stability, coordination, confidence, and social relationships.

Thursdays, 12:30 - 12:55 pm Prior to class our in person PD dancers gather to socialize and discuss topics important to them. This support group is exclusive to our class participants.
Thursdays 1 - 2pm Available both In Person and via Zoom.

Dancing with Parkinson's-us is a community based dance project that serves the greater Las Vegas Parkinson's community, through the Dance for PD® approach. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with Parkinson's disease through our dance classes, activities and events, while operating with the highest standards in arts education.
We welcome those with PD, along with their caregivers, to attend and participate in our classes. In a joyful environment, we celebrate life by dancing and moving together, with a Dance for PD® Certified Teaching Artist.
Along with regular Dance for PD classes, our dancers and supporters have participated in "PD & the Creative Arts Experience", the Dancing with Parkinson's NV video project, the "Crane Dance" video for the World Parkinson Congress in Kyoto, Japan and presentations at the Cleveland Clinic Las Vegas.

June and July 2020 - Alex joined us in class to play an inspiring short musical concert via Zoom. UNLV Jazz Professor and performer in the Cirque du Soleil show "O", Alex it was an honor to have such an amazing artist play for our class. Thank you for each note!
June 2020 - Cheyenne joined us in class for a mini dance concert via Zoom. She also has performed with our PD dancers in "When Parkinson's Knocks on Your Door." Thank you for each thoughtful step!
July 2020 - Mary joined us in class, along with some of her dance students, for a mini dance concert via Zoom! Mary can also be seen in our Dancing with Parkinson's NV videos. Studio owner of Las Vegas Dance Academy Mary welcomes our PD dancers into her studio. Thank you for each magical step!
January 2020 - Shannon danced with us in our presentation of "When Parkinson's Knocks on Your Door." And, will be working with us in the November "PD and the Creative Arts Experience". Thank you for your ongoing contributions.
