The Performance

PD dancers and professional dancers come together to create and perform a new dance.

After viewing a short dance, the audience will share feedback, as they assume the role of “Choreographer.” This playful interaction will allow self-discoveries and an awareness of how to think about movement.

For the finale, the dancers will make the changes suggested by the audience and then perform the audience’s dance!

In the spirit of joy, curiosity and interactive learning, please come play and celebrate Parkinson’s Awareness month with us!

Free Family Event!

There is no charge for this family friendly event.  Ages 14-Adult

Events for Parkinson's and Dance

Along with regular dance classes, some of our dancers have participated in the Dancing with Parkinson's NV video project, danced a creative chair tango at the Cleveland Clinic and created a special dance video called the "Crane Dance" for the World Parkinson Congress in Kyoto, Japan.

Inspired by the beauty of our Las Vegas Parkinson's dancers, Pamela Lappen choreographed, "C'est Notre Temps" (It's Our Time), that premiered at the 2019 Dance in the Desert Festival.

For me, Dancing with Parkinson’s is a combination of work and pleasure in a safe and secure environment. I look forward to our time together and have a sense of “honest” connection with others that is healing and heartwarming. A unique experience that truly makes a difference in my overall health, attitude, and interior peace. Dancing with

Parkinson’s is like a breath of fresh air that gives me hope for the future!!!
